Our dry cargo business area is managed by the owned subsidiary d'Amico Dry, established in 2002, through which we offer a wide range of modern tonnage.
Our dry cargo company, d'Amico Dry, is domiciled in Dublin, Ireland with chartering activities in Monaco, Singapore, Vancouver and Stamford (US).
The core fleet, focused on Panamax, Supramax and Open Hatch/Box Shaped Handy size vessels, consists of a mixture of Owned and long term time chartered vessels, primarily built in Japan and Korea.
Our dry cargo business area controls in excess of around 50 vessels, split between Owned tonnage, period tonnage and trip tonnage which operate in both the Atlantic and Pacific basins. Additionally, we have built up a large cargo book with many coa’s which are performed on both Owned and market tonnage.
Starting from January 1st, 2011 the liner service formerly operating under the “Medbulk” brand (whose origins are dated back to the 1930’s) runs under the trademark “d’Amico Dry”. This service operates a line, transporting forest products and parcels from the West Coast of Canada to the Mediterranean Sea.
